Rosary Makers

RosaryMakersBooth 2013 Festival 200Our Lady of the Missions Rosary Makers provide an opportunity to make handmade rosaries that are given, free of charge, to those less fortunate anywhere in the city of San Antonio.  This team of 18-20 rosary makers come from various parishes and some travel from as far away as Floresville and Elmendorf.  In 2013, this ministry made and distributed more than 3,200 rosaries that were donated to convalescent homes, nursing homes, SAM ministries and the prisons.

They hold fundraisers every year to help buy materials needed so that they can continue giving rosaries away.  Donations are used to purchase beads, threading, crucifixes, and plastic bags for packaging. The package includes instructions on how to pray the rosary.

If you would like to donate to this cause or volunteer to help, please call the office for more information at 210-434-3247.
